Strip Swap 2013
Welcome to the Appleseed Quilt Guild Strip Swap. By participating in the swap, you can bring one yard of fabric to the meeting, and come home with 14 different strips. To participate, accurately cut 14 strips selvage to selvage, 2 1/2 inches wide in the colorway called for that month. You will package the 14 strips in a baggie with you name on it. The strips should be cut from one fabric, and it will take one full yard to cut 14 strips.
You will turn it in at the Guild meeting, and you will receive 14 different strips back to you! Did you know that there are 40 strips in a commercial jellyroll? You can trun in more than one baggie, just make sure the strips are in baggies of 14 with your name on them. The more you turn in, the more you get back.
Please bring only current "quilt shop quality" fabrics, unwashed, if possible. Bring only the colors called for that month. Please do not bring fabric that is outdated and has been sitting in your stash for 10 years. If you have any questions, call the coordinator, Cindy Loos.
This swap is meant to be a fun and easy way to collect a variety of strips and to enable you to be creative in your quilting. Below is the colorway chart for the first half of 2013.
